It is the piece that turns a plain pirate shirt into a pirate.

What's in the pack

One feather-covered parrot, 38cm (15in)

Sizing & fit

One size, 15in or 38cm long, which is close to life size for a small parrot. It is a good weight for a shoulder on an adult and reads as slightly oversized on a younger child.

Styling it

Sit it on the shoulder of your coat rather than on bare skin, so there is something for it to grip. A tricorn hat, a wide sash and a hook finish the look.

Care

Real feathers do not like water. Dust it with a soft brush or a hairdryer on cool, and smooth the feathers back into line by hand. Store it in a box rather than squashed in a bag.

More like this

There is a whole crew's worth of kit in pirate costumes, more to carry in weapons and props, and hats to go on top in hats and headwear.

Safety: Contains real feathers, which may bother anyone with a feather allergy.
