Disco

Disco is a silhouette more than a costume: wide trousers, big hair and something that throws light back at the room.

It is a small collection of six pieces, and none of them is a full costume in a bag. You get women's black flared trousers at £11.99, a red and gold sequin dress at £38.49, an oversized black afro wig, silver star-shaped glasses at £3.49, disco ball earrings and a disco ball necklace. Built as a set, the flares, the afro and the star glasses come to under £32 and read as disco from across a room, which is cheaper than most one-piece 70s costumes.

Have a look at the 1970s, decades, wigs, costume jewellery and glasses and eyewear.

Order before 3pm Monday to Friday and it leaves us the same day. UK delivery is free over £30 and everything comes with 14 days to send it back.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a complete disco costume, or do I build one?

You build it. The six pieces here are separates, so the usual approach is flared trousers with a top of your own, then the afro wig and star glasses on top. That comes to under £32 for the three main pieces.

What sizes do the flared trousers come in?

They run through the standard women's fancy dress sizes; check the size chart on the product page rather than going by your usual dress size, as costume sizing tends to come up a little small. They are a mid-rise cut with the flare from the knee.

Can the afro wig be brushed out or restyled?

Use your fingers or a wide-tooth pick rather than a brush, which pulls the fibre flat and makes it frizz. Shaking it out and picking it upwards restores the volume, and it stores best on a wig stand or loosely in its bag rather than squashed.
