Green hats, a green beard and a length of tricolour bunting. That is genuinely most of what a British St Patrick's Day needs.

We stock four leprechaun hats: the standard buckled one, a green velvet top hat, a shamrock bowler and a hat-and-beard set that goes on as a single piece. There is also 7 metres of Ireland flag bunting with 25 flags. Everything here is under £10 and there are no full costumes in the range, so the usual approach is a hat over your own green clothes. The hat and beard set is the one that does the most for the money.

Do you sell full St Patrick's Day costumes?
Not at the moment. This collection is hats, a hat-and-beard set and bunting, all under £10. Most people pair one with a green top they already own, which costs less than a full leprechaun suit and is a good deal easier to sit down in.

Are the hats one size?
Yes, all four are one size and will go on most adults. They are cut for adult heads rather than children's, so on a child they will sit low over the eyes.

When should I order for 17 March?
A week beforehand is comfortable. Order before 3pm Monday to Friday and it leaves us the same day, but the weekend before St Patrick's Day is the busiest stretch and the beard sets are usually first to go.
