Gore, Blood & SFX

The messy end of Halloween. Fake blood, latex prosthetics and a run of weapons that have clearly already been used.

Zombie costumes go from £20.99 for children up to £44.49 for the men's Zombie Fast, with nurses, prom queens and school girls in between. The props are the deep part of the range: machetes, cleavers, scythes, sickles and knives, nearly all between £3.49 and £9.99. The small SFX pieces are the cheapest way to make an ordinary costume look wrong — fake blood at £3.99, vampire fangs with blood capsules at £1.99, latex zombie eyes at £2.99. Fake blood stains fabric permanently, so put it on a costume rather than on clothes you want back.

Have a look at zombie costumes, SFX and make-up, weapons and props, horror films and scary costumes.

Order before 3pm Monday to Friday and it leaves us the same day. UK delivery is free over £30 and everything comes with 14 days to send it back.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the fake blood wash out of clothes?

Not reliably. It is designed to look wet and dark on camera, and on most fabrics it leaves a stain even after a hot wash. Use it on a costume you are happy to keep for horror only, and put an old towel down while you apply it.

How do the latex prosthetics stick on?

The FX zombie eyes and similar pieces need spirit gum or latex adhesive, which is sold separately in our SFX section. Clean and dry the skin first, blend the edges with a little make-up, and allow ten minutes before you leave the house.

Are the bloody weapon props suitable for children?

They are moulded plastic with no sharp edges, and the soft foam knife is the gentlest of them, but they are graphic by design. We would put the cleavers and machetes at teenage and above, and the foam knife is the one to choose for a younger child's zombie outfit.
