Men's Accessories

Most men's outfits are made or ruined by one thing worn on the head. This is where that one thing lives.

It leans heavily on hats — cowboy in felt, suede-look, snakeskin and cow print, brown tweed flat caps, pirate tricorns, Sherwood outlaw hats, gauchos, gnome hats and Santa hats with the hair and beard already attached — with Freddy Krueger and other character masks, a Daemon Targaryen wig, novelty glasses, long gloves and complete kits such as the Heisenberg set. If you are wearing your own clothes, a hat plus one prop reads instantly as a costume, whereas a mask on its own with jeans usually does not.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the hats one size?
Adult hats here are one size and fit most heads, with the cowboy hats and tricorns sitting on the roomier side. If one is loose, a strip of foam tape inside the band takes it down a size and is invisible once worn. Children's headwear is listed separately as kids'.

Will a mask sit over glasses?
Half masks and three-quarter masks such as the evil pumpkin will go over most frames comfortably. Full overhead latex masks like Freddy Krueger are tighter, and glasses tend to steam up inside them after an hour. If you need to see all night, take the half mask.

How do the stick-on beards and moustaches hold up?
The self-adhesive ones last an evening if the skin is clean and dry before you apply them, and they hold better with a dab of spirit gum at the corners. They do not survive eating and drinking especially well, so put them on last. Attached hat-and-beard sets are the safer bet for a long night.
