Description

Sheer black chiffon wings with glitter picking out the vein lines, held on by an adjustable harness that goes over the shoulders. They are light enough to wear all evening and they catch the light rather than blocking it.

Sizing & fit

One size. The harness adjusts, so the same pair works on an adult or an older child. The chiffon is soft and will drape rather than stand out stiffly, which is worth knowing if you were expecting rigid wings.

Styling it

They sit best over a plain black dress or top so the vein glitter shows. A dark lip and a bit of smoky eye make-up finishes it without much effort.

Care

Spot clean the chiffon with a damp cloth only and let it air dry. Do not machine wash or wring, as the panels will crease and the glitter will shed. Hang them up between wears rather than folding them into a drawer.

What does one size actually fit?

One size items are cut to fit most adults, roughly a UK 8 to 16, and use elasticated or adjustable fastenings where they can. If you are outside that range, check the measurements in the size guide before ordering — one size is generous but it is not infinite.

Is this costume fire-safe?

All of our costumes are made to the toy safety standards required for sale in the UK and carry the appropriate labelling. That said, no costume is fireproof. Keep well away from candles, pumpkin lights, open fires and cookers, and never leave a child in a costume unsupervised near a naked flame. If you are lighting a pumpkin, use an LED tealight.

How quickly will my order arrive?

Order before 3pm Monday to Friday and we dispatch the same day. Standard UK delivery is 2-3 working days and free on orders over £40. Next-day delivery is available at checkout up to 3pm. In the week running up to Halloween we recommend ordering by the Monday to be safe — couriers get very busy and we would rather you had it early.

Can I return it if it doesn't fit?

Yes. You have 30 days from delivery to send anything back, provided it is unworn and still has its tags and original packaging. For hygiene reasons we cannot accept returns on wigs, fangs, cosmetics, prosthetics or hosiery once the packaging has been opened.
