Sizing & fit

One size, cut to fit most adult heads. It is a shallow, close-fitting style, so if you have a larger head or thick hair it will sit high; wear it pushed slightly back rather than pulled down.

Styling it

Wear it with a waistcoat, a collarless shirt and braces for a period look, or with a wool overcoat for something more everyday. A pocket watch chain is a nice touch.

Care

Spot clean with a damp cloth and brush the fabric in one direction to lift the pile. Do not machine wash or tumble dry, as the peak stiffening will buckle. Store it flat or on a shelf rather than crushed in a bag.

What's included?

What does one size actually fit?

One size items are cut to fit most adults, roughly a UK 8 to 16, and use elasticated or adjustable fastenings where they can. If you are outside that range, check the measurements in the size guide before ordering — one size is generous but it is not infinite.

Is this costume fire-safe?

All of our costumes are made to the toy safety standards required for sale in the UK and carry the appropriate labelling. That said, no costume is fireproof. Keep well away from candles, pumpkin lights, open fires and cookers, and never leave a child in a costume unsupervised near a naked flame. If you are lighting a pumpkin, use an LED tealight.

How quickly will my order arrive?

Order before 3pm Monday to Friday and we dispatch the same day. Standard UK delivery is 2-3 working days and free on orders over £40. Next-day delivery is available at checkout up to 3pm. In the week running up to Halloween we recommend ordering by the Monday to be safe — couriers get very busy and we would rather you had it early.

Can I return it if it doesn't fit?

Yes. You have 30 days from delivery to send anything back, provided it is unworn and still has its tags and original packaging. Start the return at fancydressclub.co.uk/returns and we will email you a label. For hygiene reasons we cannot accept returns on wigs, fangs, cosmetics, prosthetics or hosiery once the packaging has been opened.
