How do I size a costume for my dog?

Measure rather than guess. Take the length along the back from the base of the neck to the base of the tail, and the girth around the widest part of the chest just behind the front legs, then match both to the size guide on this page. If your dog falls between two sizes, take the larger one — a costume that pulls across the chest will not stay on. Never leave a dressed-up pet unattended, and take the costume off if they seem uncomfortable.

Is it safe for my dog to wear?

It is a dress-up costume for short periods and photographs, not something to leave on. Supervise your pet the whole time they are wearing it, check nothing is pulling tight around the neck or chest, and remove it straight away if they paw at it, freeze up or seem distressed. Keep it away from open flames and take it off before they eat, drink or go outside unattended.

Is this costume fire-safe?

All of our costumes are made to the toy safety standards required for sale in the UK and carry the appropriate labelling. That said, no costume is fireproof. Keep well away from candles, pumpkin lights, open fires and cookers, and never leave a child in a costume unsupervised near a naked flame. If you are lighting a pumpkin, use an LED tealight.

How quickly will my order arrive?

Order before 3pm Monday to Friday and we dispatch the same day. Standard UK delivery is 2-3 working days and free on orders over £40. Next-day delivery is available at checkout up to 3pm. In the week running up to Halloween we recommend ordering by the Monday to be safe — couriers get very busy and we would rather you had it early.

Can I return it if it doesn't fit?

Yes. You have 30 days from delivery to send anything back, provided it is unworn and still has its tags and original packaging. Start the return at fancydressclub.co.uk/returns and we will email you a label. For hygiene reasons we cannot accept returns on wigs, fangs, cosmetics, prosthetics or hosiery once the packaging has been opened.
