Description

A tall gold-tone crown set with coloured jewels, made for grown-up royal costumes. It holds its shape well and reads clearly from across a room, which is more than can be said for the flimsy card ones.

Sizing & fit

One size, made to sit on an average adult head. The band is rigid rather than adjustable, so it rests on the head rather than gripping it. If you have a lot of hair or are wearing a wig, a couple of hair grips through the base will keep it steady.

Styling it

Pair it with a red robe and a fur-trimmed cape for a storybook king, or wear it with evening dress and a sash for something more tongue-in-cheek. A jewelled sceptre finishes it off.

Care

Wipe the outside with a barely damp cloth and dry it straight away. Do not soak it or put it in the wash, as the jewels are glued on. Store it upright with something soft inside so the shape does not collapse.

What does one size actually fit?

One size items are cut to fit most adults, roughly a UK 8 to 16, and use elasticated or adjustable fastenings where they can. If you are outside that range, check the measurements in the size guide before ordering — one size is generous but it is not infinite.

Is this costume fire-safe?

All of our costumes are made to the toy safety standards required for sale in the UK and carry the appropriate labelling. That said, no costume is fireproof. Keep well away from candles, pumpkin lights, open fires and cookers, and never leave a child in a costume unsupervised near a naked flame. If you are lighting a pumpkin, use an LED tealight.

How quickly will my order arrive?

Order before 3pm Monday to Friday and we dispatch the same day. Standard UK delivery is 2-3 working days and free on orders over £40. Next-day delivery is available at checkout up to 3pm. In the week running up to Halloween we recommend ordering by the Monday to be safe — couriers get very busy and we would rather you had it early.

Can I return it if it doesn't fit?

Yes. You have 30 days from delivery to send anything back, provided it is unworn and still has its tags and original packaging. For hygiene reasons we cannot accept returns on wigs, fangs, cosmetics, prosthetics or hosiery once the packaging has been opened.
