The officially licensed Gryffindor tie in red and gold stripes. It is neatly finished and does most of the work on a Hogwarts outfit, even without the full robe.

One size. It is a standard costume tie length, which suits adults and older children; on a small child the tail will sit low, so tie the knot a little further down or tuck the end into a jumper.

Wear it with a white shirt, grey jumper and black trousers or skirt and you have a Hogwarts pupil. Add the robe, a wand and round glasses to go further.

Care

Spot clean only with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then air dry. Do not machine wash or tumble dry. Press on a cool iron with a cloth over it if it creases.

What's included?

What does one size actually fit?

One size items are cut to fit most adults, roughly a UK 8 to 16, and use elasticated or adjustable fastenings where they can. If you are outside that range, check the measurements in the size guide before ordering — one size is generous but it is not infinite.

Is this costume fire-safe?

All of our costumes are made to the toy safety standards required for sale in the UK and carry the appropriate labelling. That said, no costume is fireproof. Keep well away from candles, pumpkin lights, open fires and cookers, and never leave a child in a costume unsupervised near a naked flame. If you are lighting a pumpkin, use an LED tealight.

How quickly will my order arrive?

Order before 3pm Monday to Friday and we dispatch the same day. Standard UK delivery is 2-3 working days and free on orders over £40. Next-day delivery is available at checkout up to 3pm. In the week running up to Halloween we recommend ordering by the Monday to be safe — couriers get very busy and we would rather you had it early.

Can I return it if it doesn't fit?

Yes. You have 30 days from delivery to send anything back, provided it is unworn and still has its tags and original packaging. Start the return at fancydressclub.co.uk/returns and we will email you a label. For hygiene reasons we cannot accept returns on wigs, fangs, cosmetics, prosthetics or hosiery once the packaging has been opened.
