Description

The officially licensed Wednesday wig, in jet black with the two plaits and blunt fringe children recognise straight away. The plaits are already made up, so there is nothing to braid on the morning of the party.

Sizing & fit

One size, on a stretch cap made for children's heads. Clip your child's own hair back flat first, and set the fringe just above the eyebrows. If their hair is long or thick, a wig cap underneath keeps it tidy and stops the wig riding up.

Styling it

A black dress with a white collar and cuffs does most of the work. Keep the expression flat and the shoes plain, and leave the plaits hanging in front of the shoulders.

Care

Comb the plaits only at the loose ends with a wide-tooth wig comb, and do not undo them. Hand wash in cool water with mild shampoo if needed, then dry on a stand. No hairdryers or straighteners, as the fibre will melt.

What's included?

Only the wig, with the black plaits and fringe already styled. There is no dress, collar or wig cap in the pack, so those need to come from elsewhere.

What does one size actually fit?

One size items are cut to fit most adults, roughly a UK 8 to 16, and use elasticated or adjustable fastenings where they can. If you are outside that range, check the measurements in the size guide before ordering — one size is generous but it is not infinite.

How do I look after the wig?

Comb it with a wide-tooth comb or a proper wig brush, never a fine comb, and always from the ends upwards. Do not use straighteners, curling tongs or a hairdryer — the fibres are synthetic and will melt. Store it on a wig stand or back in its net so it keeps its shape.

Is this costume fire-safe?

All of our costumes are made to the toy safety standards required for sale in the UK and carry the appropriate labelling. That said, no costume is fireproof. Keep well away from candles, pumpkin lights, open fires and cookers, and never leave a child in a costume unsupervised near a naked flame. If you are lighting a pumpkin, use an LED tealight.

How quickly will my order arrive?

Order before 3pm Monday to Friday and we dispatch the same day. Standard UK delivery is 2-3 working days and free on orders over £40. Next-day delivery is available at checkout up to 3pm. In the week running up to Halloween we recommend ordering by the Monday to be safe — couriers get very busy and we would rather you had it early.

Can I return it if it doesn't fit?

Yes. You have 30 days from delivery to send anything back, provided it is unworn and still has its tags and original packaging. For hygiene reasons we cannot accept returns on wigs, fangs, cosmetics, prosthetics or hosiery once the packaging has been opened.
