Description

A spiked mohican wig in a rainbow of colours, fixed upright so you do not have to fight it with gel. It is a cheap, loud way to get a punk look without touching your own hair.

Sizing & fit

One size, on a stretch cap made to fit most adult heads. The sides are cut close, so flatten your own hair underneath or it will lift the wig off your scalp and spoil the line.

Styling it

It goes with almost anything black — a studded jacket, tartan and heavy boots. A bit of dark eyeliner and a safety pin or two is plenty.

Care

Keep the spikes upright by storing it on a stand or on a ball of tissue rather than flat in a drawer. Brush the sides only and leave the spikes alone. If it needs a wash, use cool water and mild shampoo, then reshape while damp and let it dry naturally.

What's included?

Just the wig, with the mohican already spiked and coloured. No gel, cap, comb or stand is supplied, so add a wig cap if you have long hair to hide.

What does one size actually fit?

One size items are cut to fit most adults, roughly a UK 8 to 16, and use elasticated or adjustable fastenings where they can. If you are outside that range, check the measurements in the size guide before ordering — one size is generous but it is not infinite.

How do I look after the wig?

Comb it with a wide-tooth comb or a proper wig brush, never a fine comb, and always from the ends upwards. Do not use straighteners, curling tongs or a hairdryer — the fibres are synthetic and will melt. Store it on a wig stand or back in its net so it keeps its shape.

Is this costume fire-safe?

All of our costumes are made to the toy safety standards required for sale in the UK and carry the appropriate labelling. That said, no costume is fireproof. Keep well away from candles, pumpkin lights, open fires and cookers, and never leave a child in a costume unsupervised near a naked flame. If you are lighting a pumpkin, use an LED tealight.

How quickly will my order arrive?

Order before 3pm Monday to Friday and we dispatch the same day. Standard UK delivery is 2-3 working days and free on orders over £40. Next-day delivery is available at checkout up to 3pm. In the week running up to Halloween we recommend ordering by the Monday to be safe — couriers get very busy and we would rather you had it early.

Can I return it if it doesn't fit?

Yes. You have 30 days from delivery to send anything back, provided it is unworn and still has its tags and original packaging. Start the return at fancydressclub.co.uk/returns and we will email you a label. For hygiene reasons we cannot accept returns on wigs, fangs, cosmetics, prosthetics or hosiery once the packaging has been opened.
