A tall top hat in bold red and white stripes with a velvet-feel finish. It is properly structured, so it stands up straight instead of folding over after ten minutes.

One size, made to fit most adult heads. It sits on the head rather than gripping, so if it feels loose, a strip of foam tape inside the band will snug it up. Too tall for most children to carry off.

Styling it

Wear it with a bow tie and a red or blue coat for a storybook character, or with a striped waistcoat for a ringmaster. A pair of oversized glasses tips it into comedy.

Care

Spot clean with a barely damp cloth and let it air dry. Do not wash or soak it, as the structure inside is card-backed. Store it upright with tissue inside so the crown keeps its shape.

What's included?

What does one size actually fit?

One size items are cut to fit most adults, roughly a UK 8 to 16, and use elasticated or adjustable fastenings where they can. If you are outside that range, check the measurements in the size guide before ordering — one size is generous but it is not infinite.

Is this costume fire-safe?

All of our costumes are made to the toy safety standards required for sale in the UK and carry the appropriate labelling. That said, no costume is fireproof. Keep well away from candles, pumpkin lights, open fires and cookers, and never leave a child in a costume unsupervised near a naked flame. If you are lighting a pumpkin, use an LED tealight.

How quickly will my order arrive?

Order before 3pm Monday to Friday and we dispatch the same day. Standard UK delivery is 2-3 working days and free on orders over £40. Next-day delivery is available at checkout up to 3pm. In the week running up to Halloween we recommend ordering by the Monday to be safe — couriers get very busy and we would rather you had it early.

Can I return it if it doesn't fit?

Yes. You have 30 days from delivery to send anything back, provided it is unworn and still has its tags and original packaging. Start the return at fancydressclub.co.uk/returns and we will email you a label. For hygiene reasons we cannot accept returns on wigs, fangs, cosmetics, prosthetics or hosiery once the packaging has been opened.
