Oktoberfest runs from the middle of September to the first Sunday in October, and the fancy dress side of it has long since escaped Munich. Whether it is a beer festival, a themed pub night or a stag do that needed a uniform, the lederhosen and dirndl look is the one everyone recognises.

One thing worth knowing before you order: the German costume ranges are sized by the maker's own chart rather than UK high street sizing, and it runs large on the men's and unusually generous on the women's, so read the size guide on the product page rather than going by the letter on the label.
